In November 2023, OPBA sought membership input about running the Caveat Cup golf tournament at a time different than the conference. Thank you to all members who took the time to participate in the survey. Your feedback has helped us immensely with the planning process.
OPBA is pleased to announce that Jazz Thandi will lead the Caveat Cup golf tournament in 2024. We look forward to another great event.

If the OPBA Caveat Cup Golf tournament was held at a different time than the conference, would you sign up and play?
- 67 respondents total.
- 32 respondents said “Yes” and proceeded with the rest of the survey.
- 35 respondents said “No” and the survey ended.
Of the 32 respondents, 17 had participated in the Caveat Cup and 15 had not.
- June or September was voted as the top ideal months.
- Weekday is preferred.
- Respondents would like golf to tie into a professional development opportunity.
- Top preferred locations: Guelph/Hamilton/Niagara area, Simcoe County/Muskoka area, and Vaughan/Newmarket/Aurora area.
Overall, there is support to hold the Caveat Cup outside the conference this year. In 2024, we will pilot running it at a different time other than the conference and evaluate the results for our planning in 2025.
